Spare parts service: supply and adaptation of components with scheduled on-site management

Motek can guarantee the supply of mechanical, electrical and electronic spare parts for its machinery and for any industrial automation system, whoever the manufacturer.

We have over 250,000 unique items actually in stock in our in-house warehouse, and so can quickly source even complex components or ones that are hard to find on the market.

When a drop-in replacement with an identical code is not a feasible option, because the component is either unavailable or being updated, the Motek technical laboratory will provide a tailor-made solution, to maintain full operation of your production line:

  • In-house repair of the original component, when its structural integrity permits.
  • Adaptation of updated versions of spare parts to outdated machinery or to existing electrical panels.
  • Conversion and compatibility across different environments or brands, to standardise mixed or obsolete lines.

Spare parts supply agreement (continuous service)

For those companies looking for an organised approach and guaranteed provision, Motek offers a spare parts supply agreement; this ensures immediate availability, set delivery times, and scheduled management of components according to the needs of production.

Following an initial study of the production line and its critical components, the agreement can then be organised in two different ways:

Guarantee of availability
Annual fee and purchase of spare parts if necessary.
Strategic components always kept in stock. 

Provision with spare parts included
Annual fee that also covers the replacement parts specified in the maintenance plan.
Customised definition based on production cycles and the useful life of each component. 

Both models include a guarantee of reserved stock for key parts and the option of choosing between different levels of coverage with regard to response times and speed of delivery:

  • 5×7 coverage (Mon-Fri, working hours)
  • 7×7 coverage (daylight hours, daily)
  • 24/7 coverage (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) 

Provision can be guaranteed within 48, 24 or 8 hours (depending on the type of agreement and the distance from the Motek logistics hub), thus ensuring maximum continuity of production.
The service can also include the installation of the spare parts on-site, so as to restore the machine or system to full working order immediately. 

Supply on request 

In addition to these service agreements, Motek also supplies spare parts on request.
The customer can purchase individual components currently in stock or to order, with delivery times based on their actual availability and on the resources of the Motek partner network.

This solution suits those companies that already have their own maintenance schedule and need occasional or particular interventions. So they can enlist the help of the Motek technical team in choosing the most suitable component or in managing comparable alternatives.

Continuity of operations and outdated plants 

For those machines or panels which contain components that are out of production or no longer compatible, the Motek team can design and create adaptations that enable the use of updated spare parts, thus avoiding costly downtime or the total replacement of the plant.
