Industrial Revamping and Technological Retrofit

Regenerating the value of existing assets

Technological evolution does not necessarily require the replacement of existing systems: regenerating current assets is a strategic lever to enhance both competitiveness and production sustainability. Motek’s modernization interventions bridge the technological gap of outdated machinery, combining the robustness of original mechanics with the capabilities of modern control systems.

A targeted transformation path designed to restore efficiency, safety, and full operational compliance to every industrial system.

Revamping, retrofitting and compliance of industrial machinery

Motek works on existing plant and machinery, to upgrade it and ensure its safety by offering three types of complementary service: revamping, retrofitting and compliance.

These operations help extend the useful life of the machinery, increase its efficiency and align it with the latest standards for technology and safety, thus avoiding costly investments in new plants.

Revamping: renewing and regenerating

Revamping involves the general restructuring of the machine or production line.
These operations may include:

  • mechanical overhaul and replacement of worn parts,
  • updating the electrical and control systems,
  • optimising layout and improving operational performance.

It's the ideal way to bring outdated plants back to full efficiency, maintaining the original structure but with updated technologies and materials.

Retrofit: updating with the use of new technologies

A retrofit involves integrating modern automation, control and safety systems into existing machines.
It can include the following:

  • installing the latest controllers, sensors and communication modules,
  • updating software and supervision systems,
  • technical adaptations to make the machinery compatible with modern spare parts and components.

In this way, Motek can also resolve issues of incompatibility with current spare parts, by working both on the machine and on its components.

Compliance and certification

For machinery that predates the CE marking or that does not comply with current regulations, Motek carries out operations to ensure compliance with Legislative Decree 81/08 and Directive 2006/42/EC.
This work includes:

  • installing guards, barriers and safety sensors,
  • updating electrical panels and emergency stop systems,
  • checking and updating technical documentation,
  • issuing a certificate of conformity at the end of the work.

Evaluate the revamping of your assets or request a technological retrofit to maximize the productivity of your systems with Motek.
